Lebel-sur-Quévillon’s equestrian club is a non-profit organization existing since April 14th, 1976.
Our passion: Trails in Western or English saddle, jumping, « Le Trec » an off-road competition that solicits the skills and control of the rider on his horse, Gymkhana competitions and horse carriage.
The club organizes a Western Festival, an amusing event that provides learning to the youths as well as promoting horseback riding.
On demand, we can offer trail riding or an open-door to visitors of our trails, stables and horses.

Since the creation of Chibougamau , bowling has always been a popular activity in the city. Of course, bowling alleys have evolved since then and our establishment now offers eight fluorescent synthetic alleys. They are used for different occasions, such as; moonlight evenings with music, children’s birthday parties, a reception room with a capacity of 50, karaoke, fun and competitive bowling leagues for seniors or for the physically disabled. Moreover, we help non-profit organizations with their fundraising activities by hosting friendly tournaments such as ; the Fool`s Tournament (November), darts tournament (December), Family Feud Tournament (December), Tournament of the turkeys (December), the Rallye Tournament (March), Tournament of the ham (April), etc. . In April, the Chibougamau Inter-regional Invitation Tournament welcomes more than 300 out-of-towners with awards of $30,000.

The Quasar Planetarium is a truly unique prototype of a local invention! Unique in Quebec, if not in the world. Through innovating special effects, you will discover the beautiful constellations of our Nordic sky. Located at the Municipal Library, the Planetarium can welcome three to four adults or a small family with an animator. The Club also owns an observatory located on a peninsula of Lac aux Dorés.

The Regional Historical Society of Chibougamau is a non-profit organization mandated to gather, process, preserve and broadcast history of the region. Information may be found on paper, photographs, audio/video recordings, maps or objects. The historical Society is located downstairs in the very modern premises of the Town Hall of Chibougamau. It welcomes researchers and visitors throughout the year. You may also admire a permanent display. A membership at the cost of 20$ per year gives access to special privileges.
