James Bay Tourism is lead by a board of directors consisting of 11 people dedicated and active in the regional tourism industry. Elected by members of James Bay Tourism during the annual meeting, they represent the interests of the different spheres of the tourism industry of the James Bay region.

MISSION AND MANDATESJames Bay Tourism is a private non-profit organization, recognized by the Government of Quebec as the preferred regional partner in tourism.James Bay Tourism participates in the economic development of the region by being the major implementer of regional cooperation, hospitality, information, marketing and tourism development.
Including:
• On behalf of its members, James Bay Tourism is interested in developing tourism in the region in working to provide the region with a common vision of tourism development by conducting strategic planning for tourism development. It ensures the monitoring and implementation of strategic development by all partners involved.
• Conducts, participates or coordinates studies, research and implements tools to improve market, customer and global trend knowledge in the industry.
• Participates actively in regional planning, organization, coordination and promotion of the regional network of the tourist information bureaus, in consultation with members and partners in the region.
• Plans, coordinates and conducts, in partnership with its members, marketing of the James Bay region towards all targeted audiences in the identified markets.
• Represents its members and makes recommendations on their behalf to government authorities, municipal corporations or other organizations.
